Rich Hayes began Green Acres in March of 1986. Rich had a vision to influence the grounds maintenance and landscape markets in the Greater Indianapolis area. He longed for the freedom and flexibility of owning his own business with the ability to involve his family. His wife and three daughters have all been employees of Green Acres at one point or another.

Green Acres has grown from a small home office with all the equipment in the garage, to a 25 member team, a self-contained building with office and warehouse space, and 12 acres of nursery stock. It is fulfilling to know that the goal of leaving our mark on the Indianapolis area is being met. You cannot drive far in Indianapolis without seeing a Green Acres project.

Even though our company has grown immensely over the years, we still strive to give our customers the individual attention they deserve and to exceed their expectations with every project. We promise to solve the maintenance and landscaping needs of our customers and deliver quality service in a timely manner.
